Frequently asked questions

We see the relationship between carer and resident as key to delivering safe, personalised care. That’s why we give our carers the time they need to get to know residents and understand what their individual needs are. At Care UK, procedures are of course important – but people are more important. As a carer, you see first-hand the positive difference your actions have on residents’ lives.

As a carer, you’ll receive approved training in health and social care. We’ve also set up our own Learning Academy to deliver high-quality, innovative training. This includes face-to-face, on-the-job and e-learning modules. If your goal is to gain further qualifications, we’ll support you.

We always try to be flexible so that your shifts work around your life, whilst also ensuring our residents receive high-quality care. We know that if we ask our team members to work hard, we should do our bit to give them a healthy work-life balance.

It’s really up to you how far and where you will go. With Care UK, there’s a lot of flexibility. And if you show commitment, we’ll help you reach your potential. For example, if you complete the relevant care qualifications, you could choose a route into nursing.
