Helping residents to remain as active and independent as possible
Support residents with personal care and mealtimes

Lonsdale Mews is a brand new care home, and I’ve loved having the opportunity to open and commission the home and shape the great team we have. I think it’s an ambition most Home Managers would admit to. Care UK is one of the biggest care home providers in the country, with an impressive track record of running outstanding-rated homes. The support the organisation provides to enable me and my team to deliver great care is impressive too. I see myself as one of the team here – I started out as a Care Assistant so I know the challenges the team faces day-to-day, and I do my best to minimise them. I love coming into the home in the morning and walking around as everywhere comes to life and residents get ready for their day. There’s a feeling that anything’s possible. In my free time I enjoy walking my dogs and going on holidays. I’m also a longstanding member of my local crown green bowls club, and I enjoy watching cricket, especially Twenty20.’’
