    Are you are a strong HR Generalist that enjoys ER casework? Can you demonstrate a solid understanding of ER policies and processes and utilise these to make a difference by supporting managers across Care UK?       

    You will have autonomy to identify trends and opportunities to improve Care UK policies, systems and processes in order to ensure that we make improvements and continuously develop.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide ER telephone and email service (lines open weekdays 8am – 6pm on a rota basis) to managers and leaders to advise on Employee Relations and other related HR policies and procedures
    • Manage a high volume of complex ER casework including investigation and disciplinary, grievance, absence management, capability, change management and redundancy. The Senior ER Advisor will be expected to manage casework from all levels of the organisation
    • The Senior ER Advisor will be expected to advise in ACAS Early Conciliation cases up to Employment Tribunal level
    • Provide advice and coaching to managers that strikes an appropriate balance between a commercial focus and employment law and best practice
    • Following on from giving advice to managers, provide checking service on letters and where necessary provide written advice for managers and leaders to use
    • Follow up on ER issues to ensure that advice is being actioned and followed through to conclusion
    • Keep records and notes to ensure that other ER advisors can follow up
    • Provide specific case management, where necessary including potential whistle blowing cases
    • Seek support and advice from company lawyers as needed
    • Keep up to date with current and future employment legislation, adapt where needed and communicate updates where needed
    • Draft and implement new/rewrite existing policies, procedures, templates and guides
    • Produce standard letter templates in line with updated/new policies and procedures
    • Ad-hoc project work as required
