Trusted to care

A closely-knit team of managers, carers, nurses and support colleagues – and each of us is dedicated to your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing.

I decided to work for Care UK because it is a growing provider delivering customer excellence and I am excited to be part of the ‘family’ as they continue their journey.

They truly practice their values through the lens of Caring, Passionate and Teamwork and I too, want to stand alongside them knowing that I reflect these values when leading my team to deliver the best care and experience for the residents at Llys Herbert.

I have been a Registered Nurse for 25 years. I am experienced in the commissioning and decommissioning of services, and the operational management of mental health services both within the NHS and Independent sector. I have developed process and improvement and strategic plans, launched new services and implemented change management initiatives.

There are many skills required to manage and lead a team. Without doubt, you must be perceptive to the needs of your staff; have high expectations and to show them the way. Be present, approachable and lead by example. Share the vision for the service and inject enthusiasm and positivity to encourage the team to walk the journey with you with infectious creativity and solution focused practice.

I look forward to creating a meaningful and fulfilling life to the residents at Llys Herbert. Enjoy getting to know them and making them smile.
