  • We are looking for exceptional team members who want to make a real difference to the lives of those who are living with neurological challenges.  You should be passionate for older adult’s well-being and have a caring and patient nature. A cheerful and positive personality with a genuine care to support others and the ability to remain calm and reassuring to those who have complex needs is essential.

    What we will give you in return is specialist training, including the MAPA programme that teaches management and intervention techniques to help you cope with escalating behaviour in a professional and safe manner.

    If you are passionate about making a difference and you can show flexibility with working patterns, this new service may be just for you.

    The roles will be offered initially as a fixed term six month contract (with the hope of becoming permanent) and employees are expected to work days and nights, and every other weekend.

    What you’ll be doing

    Being a Team Leader Is about acting as a role model by leading and supervising carers day-to-day, working alongside them and completing regular staff appraisals. It’s also about taking responsibility for case managing residents and liaising with families, health care professional and other stakeholders to ensure that the best care plans are created and delivered. Working closely with nurses to develop the services we provide is an important aspect of the role too, as is administering medication and carrying out risk assessments. Put simply, it’s about making a difference. A real difference.

     

    What you’ll need

    Well-organised, IT literate and adept at allocating and delegating work appropriately, you have a proven ability to lead and supervise others and a good understanding of care planning processes. What’s more, you're trained, or willing to train, to administer medication and used to contributing to, monitoring and implementing changes that improve outcomes for residents. Above all, you have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling and want to work in an environment where the work can be hard, but also fun and rewarding.

    We are excited to announce that we are creating a new service at Perry Manor Care Home. “The Malvern Suite” will be a self-contained high dependency neurological service that will offer specialist care to those who have a variety of diagnosis. Our unique approach ensures that every individual has the opportunity to achieve the best possible outcomes and quality of life, whilst creating an environment of empathy, compassion and respect.
