Trusted to care

A closely-knit team of managers, carers, nurses and support colleagues – and each of us is dedicated to your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing.

I started working at Care UK in 2009 after hearing great things about their values. The way they ensure excellent care is delivered and that residents have a say in how their home is run.

Before joining Care UK, I worked as a Nurse for 10 years in a hospital in Poland, where I completed my Level 5 equivalent qualification. It’s my proudest accomplishment that I was able to come to England, not being able to speak English, and work my way up to achieve the role of Home Manager.

Ensuring that every resident receives outstanding care is challenging, but it’s so rewarding seeing smiles from happy residents, or when a resident or a colleague achieves something they’ve been working hard for. My favourite moments are enjoying coffee mornings with the residents, families and colleagues.

To be a good Home Manager, I think it’s important to listen and be empathetic. You need to be able to put yourself in someone else’s shoes. It’s also important to have a passion to offer outstanding care.

When I’m not working, I love reading and spending time with my family to unwind.
