I have three decades’ experience of working in the care home sector, and 17 of those have been as a Registered Manager for care companies of all sizes. This is the first time I’ve worked for Care UK, and I was keen to join the organisation because its commitment to quality care and its ethos of care match my own. I’m passionate about enabling residents to enjoy rewarding and meaningful lives.
I love the hustle and bustle of mid-morning, when residents are up and involved in activities and are chatting together. It’s refreshing to leave the office to talk to my team and residents. I enjoy finding ways to engage residents in things that make them happy.
I’m excited to be leading a dynamic team in a new home. I have lots of ideas of ways to make Millers Grange one of Oxfordshire’s best care homes, and I’m looking forward to making them happen.
Away from work, I love cooking, baking and reading. I always try to have a long walk every evening to help me unwind and get some exercise.
